 +====== I Oppose Your Law ======

 +I realized recently that, when I hear about new laws, it is my natural instinct to accept them.  I find myself asking, "how will this law effect me?"  If I don't think it effects me, I'm complacent to accept it, as is.  That thinking is wrong, however, and is a big part of why our government has overgrown, at all levels, in the United States.
 +
 +Instead, when new laws are presented, we should oppose them automatically.  It should be the lawmakers responsibility to convince a majority that a new law makes sense and has a mass benefit to society.  Senators, Congressmen, City Councils, and other officials are passing dozens, maybe hundreds, of laws every day.  Most with little thought from the community and many with little thought from those that represent our communities.  "Yes" is very likely the default vote for many of them.
