 +====== isoMiner Game ======
 +
 +isoMiner is an idea for a game inspired by Notch's Minecraft game.  I'll develop a few thoughts on the game and store them here.  I don't anticipate a working game for a long while.
 +
 +As I've installed and used the original Minecraft game, I was frustrated by a few quirks.  As a result, I'm designing isoMiner with these major goals in mind.
 +
 +  - Low RAM requirements on the server.  Should support hundreds of users on light hardware.
 +  - No special client requirement.  Users just need a web browser.
 +  - No central server.  Each server install stands on it's own with no need to "check in".
 +
 +As the name implies, isoMiner will be drawn in isometric format.  It will not be 3D in the proper sense of the word.  It will draw your view of the world on a "board" similar to the Q*bert game.  It will also be in the style of a first person shooter, though, with your pick axe hanging at the front of the screen and the world beyond.
 +
 +Here's an initial reference cube.

 +===== Customization =====
 +
 +Cubes should be customizable.  Perhaps simple square PNG images with transparent edges.

 +===== JavaScript Library =====
 +
 +I've created [[iso]], a JavaScript library for creating drawings with isometric blocks.
