Homemade Rocket Igniter's

Right now, I'm using paper matches as the material. I connect two small wires to a 3rd even smaller “bridge” wire. The bridge wire comes in contact with the match head. When you apply voltage the small wire burns up, igniting the match, igniting the engine.

I have been using tiny strands of coarse steel wool for the bridge wires. Recently James Yawn suggested I use the tiny copper strands from an IDE or Floppy ribbon cable. I'll try that next.
