Hobby Rocket Motor Law

In the US, explosives are regulated by The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). There is a good questions and answers article published on the ATF website about the laws regarding hobby rocket motors.

Based on that document, it seems that manufacturing model rocket fuel is legal as long as you don't have more than 62.5 grams of “reload kits and propellant modules”.

I plan to keep less than 50 grams of mixed material, and to store my raw materials off-site, in order to make sure I meet this requirement.
